One Flew Over the Cuckoo Nest

Although absolutely loving The Picture of Dorian Gray, English Lit isn't all about the exam and its time for coursework to commence. I am really excited by the next text of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kecey and can't wait for my modern penguin classic copy to arrive! To kick start our studying the English sets headed out to the local theatre to see a dramatised version of the classic story. For me the play was a great introduction to the book, the actors were fantastic - telling the story beautifully with the added humour of the patients. The end of story nearly reduced me to tears, so I guess when I see the film I will be sobbing!

Unfortunately I haven't got any outfit photos to share so to make up for my lack of efforts I shall show you some of the book artwork for One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Book artwork is really important to me and I am always keen to get a clean copy after studying a book as I have done with my much loved To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee.

This is the copy which I will be studying from, lets hope there is a lot of margin space for all my 'intellectual notes'. I am also hoping the spine is a little stronger than Dorian Gray.

I really like this copy as well...

Next week is Reading Week, unfortunately this is not a week off to read all the texts, but a programme ran to encourage students to read, amazon assures me that my book will arrive in time for Monday. If I'm honest I am looking forward to a half an hour read to kick off my morning, though I might need some tissues.
