dress - Next // earrings - vintage // necklace - Next
The last week before breaking up for Christmas is always when I start to feel festive. The excitement of early xmas presents between friends; the merriment of xmas songs played in lessons; the first of many xmas dinners; all build up my Christmas cheer.
So, every year I seem to enjoy a collection of the traditional Christmas dinners, and so far I have had two. On tuesday evening my mother and I got all dressed up for a Christmas meal in the village. I absolutely love this dress, that I bought way back in the Spring, but haven't had a chance to wear it yet. On Tuesday, I wore it with a string of pearls and some much needed warmth of a cardigan and tights. But in need of some glitzy accessories, I searched through the treasure chest that is my mother's jewellery box. In there is a collection of vintage clip-on earrings and rings passed down through the generations. I was ecstatic to be able to wear some clip-on earrings, (my ears refusing to let a piercing last) and I am looking forward to pairing some classic jewellery with my future outfit posts.
What made my week, and Christmas, was receiving this beauty 'The Great British Bake Off: How to turn everyday bakes into Show-stoppers'. Its includes recipe's from the contestants of series 3, as well as some of the technical challenges. For anyone who is a fan of the show I recommend getting this and making the caramel cake, which I made yesterday, because it's delicious!
It's starting to look a lot like Christmas...
